The Rome Temple Site (Part 2)

This is the view from the street level.  The fence is very high and it is difficult to see the progress of the Temple!

This is what can be seen from the other side of the street!  When we first arrived here in October, we couldn't see anything.  They had just started to pour the basements and foundations!

This is another view from the street level further down the street.  There are four different buildings being built at the same time.  The Temple, the Patron Center, the Visitors Center and the Rome Stake Center.

This picture is taken from standing up on a brick partition looking over the fence.  When the security guard saw us taking pictures over the fence, he came driving off the Temple grounds very fast, and started shouting at us to get down......."You must get down right now!!!  The other security guard is crazy and he has a gun and he will shot you!!!"

This is the Rome Stake Center.
This is a picture of the Temple from across the highway.  We are standing on the  top of a building.

As you can see the Patron Center left of the Temple is progressing and they are working on the roof.

This shot gives you a better look at the Patron Center.

The people here are so thankful for the opportunity to have a Temple close by!  The closest Temple to Rome is the Swiss Temple which is 12 hours away, one way.

The main entrance to the Temple will be through these trees.  The Stake Center is behind the trees and the Visitor's Center is to the left.

We are very happy and excited for the Rome Temple!!!

Love you all!  The Kruegers

Fun and Games at the Center for Young Adults!

Every Friday we have two Institute classes.  The first class in "Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible" and the other class is "Preach My Gospel/Missionary Prep."  We had 50 people come to the Center and things were hoppin'!!!  I fixed "Spaghetti alla Carabonara" and the dessert was called "Death by Chocolate!"  We had eleven BYU students come and visit us and everyone had so much fun!

Here they are playing a game and really having fun!

We have a wide variety of young adults coming from all over the world!  We have young adults from Peru, Uraguay, Africa, The United States, Romania and Columbia!!!
